INTENSIVE REHABILITATION SCOLIOSIS TREATMENT
There is no time for observation! If scoliosis is detected start treatment early.
Scoliosis in children can progress rapidly
Treatment for people with spinal deformities is based on the Schroth Method. The Schroth Method is a non-surgical, conservative treatment which consists of specific exercises designed for each patient separately. In each case of scoliosis different issues must be addressed. These exercises are used to correct the spine in three dimensions because scoliosis is a three dimensional deformity and that is why it should be treated in a three dimensional manner.
In Three - Dimensional Scoliosis Therapy we use a special breathing technique, to fill the concavities of the trunk and active muscle stretching, exercises elongating the trunk and correcting the imbalance of the body. The purpose of these exercises is to derotate, deflex and to correct the spine.
This treatment is suitable for patients of all ages, from 7 to 70 years. Patients should be able to follow the instructions. Parents should be with their children and they also should learn these exercises to help their children at home.
This intensive treatment consists of special exercises and an education programme for patients. We give a patient the knowledge and tools to control her or his own postural health lifelong. After finishing treatment the patient is encouraged to continue exercising at home systematically. At home the patient should perform many different exercises to train all muscle groups.
We encourage patients to return for check-ups. Fill out the form
